October cycling adventure recap

Here are some of the pictures from our trip. The weather could not have been better. We all enjoyed the cycling as well other activities.

The rental bikes arrived on time. They were top of the line Wiliers Road bikes in perfect condition. Giacomo and Nicoletta from Chrono Bike did a great job providing the rental bikes and delivering them on time and in great condition. They were also accomodating to making changes required.

We would start every day with breakfast on the terrace. The nice panoramic view and Giusepina’s great spread prepared us for the coming ride.

We did a total of 5 rides. Each ride was about 4 to 6 thousand feet of climbing which took us about 3-1/2 to 4-1/2 hours to comnplete. There were wonderful views along the way as well as visits to cobbled stone towns. Each ride we stopped about midway for a break. We enjoyed a coffee and a pastry before continuing for the rest of the ride.

We had a nice fish lunch at MOMA’s after one of our rides. We also had a great dinner prepared by Giusepina. She made us homemade lasagna called “Vincisgrassi” typical from the Marche region. On the last night we treated oursevles to a dinner at a nice restaraunt in Sarnano called Clarisse.

One of our guests Donald Chapelle was a professional chef. He also made us a wonderful dinner. I will not try to describe it but is was one of the best meals I’ve had. Thank You Donald!

Touring Sarnano was guided by Federico Dari. He did a maginificent job telling us about some of the history of the medievil town of Sarnano.
